Job brief

The Radisson Community Centre (CCR) is a community organization that aims to promote the social inclusion of adults with physical disabilities through the development of a civic awareness in the context of community life and popular education through educational and leisure activities.

We are looking for a person who will play a central role in the proper functioning of the organization. She will assist senior management in their duties and will also provide professional and effective support to the entire team.

It is to organize and participate in the associative and democratic life of the organization, carrying out activities related to administrative management, planning and organizing meetings and events in the logistical aspects (meetings, committees, trainings, punctual events).

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with senior management, participate in the design and development of development projects and funding applications
  • Collaborate in the coordination and implementation of one-off events
  • Collaborate in the development of the programming of members’ activities
  • Ensure effective management of the personnel under his responsibility
  • Ensure good communication with partners mainly related to administration
  • Organize different meetings (annual meeting of members, committees, team)
  • Write documents (minutes, management documents, annual report, etc.)
  • Write various internal and external communications
  • Organize mass mailings (scheduling of activities, invoicing, invitations, etc.)
  • Ensure good administrative management of all the premises and material assets of the organization
  • Perform and track billing and accounts payable
  • Maintain records and ensure the filing and archiving of records

Education and experience

  • Degree in recreation, community organization, or equivalent in terms of work experience in a community setting.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a similar function
  • Knowledge of people with disabilities (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent command of French both orally and in writing

Working conditions

  • Daytime schedule from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (occasionally evening or weekend
  • Salaries and advantageous conditions (pension plan, 4 weeks of leave per year including 2 weeks in summer and 2 weeks during the holidays)
  • Location: Montreal (St-Laurent or Champs-de-Mars metros), on-site parking
  • Start of employment: Start of employment as soon as possible
