Postdoctoral Fellowship
Job brief
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with experience in Cognition and assistive technology. The candidate will join the Savoirs Réadaptation laboratory at the Lethbridge-Layton-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal.
He/she will work on developing recommendations for an inclusive digital solution for people with traumatic brain injury and cognitive impairment.
He/she will work with a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with Ms. Frédérique Poncet, PhD, McGill University and Mr. Amine Choukou, PhD, University of Manitoba
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage your own studies in the field of cognitive technological aids
- Manage your project-related collaborations with group members and others
- Actively collaborate with the team of the association TCC des deux Rives à Québec (ATCC2R) (coordination, project management)
- Support the lab’s research environments and assist other lab members as needed.
- Contribute to the appreciation and evaluation of news
- Contribute to the supervision of first and second year students
- Contribute to the writing of project proposals, grants, and manuscripts using genome editing technologies.
- Maintain appropriate records of experiments, protocols, and data in accordance with
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment in accordance with the guidelines of the
- Collaborate on scientific dissemination projects and represent the research team at scientific events.
- Complete the mandatory training required by the university, division and department.
Qualifications
Essential
- Francophone or bilingual; data collection will be conducted in French at ATCC2R
- Hold a Ph.D. (or close to the defense of a thesis) in rehabilitation, biomedical engineering, or a related field
- Good publication record or demonstrated scientific excellence for career stage.
- Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to give constructive criticism and communicate results in a clear and timely manner
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work in a team.
Desirable
- Experience in health technology development
- Experience in qualitative data collection
- Qualitative analysis

- Job location: Laboratoire Savoirs Réadaptationof the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation located on the site of the Lethbridge-Layton-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. 7000 Sherbrooke West, Montreal, QC H4B1S5
- Part of the research project will be carried out within the TCC des deux Rives association in Quebec City (ATCC2R). at 14 Rue St Amand, Québec, QC G2A 2K9
- Schedule: 35 hours/week (Full-time), this includes attendance at the Savoirs Réadaptation laboratory and at the ATCC2R. Possibility of telecommuting in part
- Salary Remuneration will be determined according to skills and experience according to the rules in effect of McGill University (up to $45,000 CAD).
