JOB DESCRIPTION
The CRIR-Research Center of the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital-CISSS of Laval is seeking a Research Officer for a part-time assignment. Under the supervision of the site manager and in close collaboration with the scientific direction of the CRIR, the candidate will act as a resource for procedures and activities related to research projects and will be responsible for providing technical support to research teams in various qualitative analysis methodologies
GENERAL TASKS
The primary mandates, activities and objectives assigned to the contractor hereunder are:
- Development of scientific reviews and funding applications for researchers.
- Development of ethical reports and knowledge transfer tasks.
- Participate in the coding and analysis of qualitative data.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Status : Temporary part-time; contract renewable annually
- Work schedule: one day a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Workplace: CRIR- Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital – 3205 Alton-Goldbloom Place, Laval, QC H7V 1R2
- Shift: Day
- Salary range: $25.25 to $45.22 / hour (depending on experience)
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate academic discipline such as business, humanities or social sciences or other discipline deemed relevant (rehabilitation, public health, science).
- Demonstrate an interest in rehabilitation research, experience an asset.
- Knowledge of different qualitative analysis methodologies is required to advise teams on the best approaches to use.

In some cases, quantitative analysis of the data may be required to supplement the qualitative analysis. In this case, skills in the use of common qualitative statistical analysis tools may be required.

Technology skills: Office© suite, reference management software, and qualitative and quantitative analysis software.Language skills: French-English bilingualism, oral and written.

Professional skills: knowledge of the rehabilitation field desirable.

Personal skills: rigor, teamwork, communication skills, management of priorities and autonomy.
