Research participants needed for a Locomotor control study | Hôpital juif de réadaptation – Laval

We are looking for healthy adults to perform an obstacle stepping task in a virtual environment.

The study is exploring the brain regions involved in the perception and action processes that take place during obstacle avoidance. The study involves 2 visits, each lasting approximately 2 hours.

Participants must:

  • Be 18-35 years of age, right-handed and have normal/corrected vision.
  • Have no neurological/psychiatric disorders.

Participation involves:

  • Physical, cognitive, and behavioral evaluations.
  • Brain scanning with Electroencephalography (EEG) (safe, non-invasive, no x-rays/radiation).
  • Immersion in a virtual environment (Virtual Reality).
