RESEARCH ASSISTANT
  • Description of the research area:
    Timothy Wideman, Ph.D. (CRIR Axis 1 and School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, McGill University) conducts research on pain and pain-related disability. His research program focuses on better understanding and managing chronic musculoskeletal pain.
  • Description of the position:
    This full-time position will be focused on recruiting and testing research participants and includes the following responsibilities:
    −recruiting study participants;
    −testing participants at the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre as well as several clinical sites in the Montreal area;
    −assist with administrative tasks.The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities and skills:
    −excellent organizational and time management skills;
    −excellent inter-personal and communications skills;
    −fluent in both French and English (comprehension, verbal/written expression);
    −high level of flexibility and autonomy.Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience/credentials:
    −experience working in a research laboratory with clinical populations.
    −experience conducting physical examinations.
    −access to a personal vehicle to travel to off-site clinical settings.
  • Remuneration is between $16 and $26/hour and is commensurate with expertise. Applicants are required to have completed a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a related field. The initial contract will be for a six-month period with the potential for renewal.
