Study bursary for research project on virtual care in rehabilitation

OVERVIEW OF THE RESEARCH PROGRAM

We are a team of researchers working on a new Canada-wide project on virtual care in rehabilitation (also known as telerehabilitation) called: «Avoiding pitfalls in virtual care: paving the road for more ethical and equitable policies and practices in rehabilitation».

Candidate criteria

We are looking for a student at the Master’s (with thesis), Doctoral or Post-doctoral level to conduct their project within the scope of this larger project. A study bursary will be provided the from study funding obtained from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR). This bursary could be supplemented by additional exterior funding. If the candidate is not yet registered for graduate studies, they must register at the latest for fall 2022, with the possibility of getting involved in the project prior to that (under the supervision or co-supervision of Professor Dahlia Kairy and/or Professor Anne Hudon, School of Rehabilitation, Université de Montréal)

The candidate must:

  • Hold a bachelor’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g.: rehabilitation, rehabilitation sciences, ethics, anthropology, health service organisation, medicine, engineering).
  • Have a good understanding of rehabilitation services.
  • Have a strong academic dossier for applying to recognized funding agencies.
  • Have a good working level of French and English (spoken and written).
  • Have excellent project management skills and enjoy working in teams.
