{"id":22896,"date":"2024-04-19T15:02:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-19T19:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crir.ca\/?page_id=22896"},"modified":"2026-05-11T18:40:53","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T22:40:53","slug":"application-form","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/students\/crir-graduate-scholarships-program\/application-form\/","title":{"rendered":"Application Form"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>CRIR Graduate Scholarships Program | 2026<\/h2>\n<h3>INSTRUCTIONS<\/h3>\n<div class=\"highlight-box\">\n<p><strong>Application deadline: Sunday, May 10, 2026, 11:45 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">To be eligible for the CRIR graduate scholarship competition, you must<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be registered in a regular research master\u2019s, doctoral research program in fall 2026;<\/li>\n<li>Be a CRIR student member in good standing at CRIR (for those starting in the fall of 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/students\/how-to-become-a-member\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">please complete the membership registration form now here<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li>Be supervised by a researcher with regular member status at the CRIR (your principal supervisor) who is in good standing;<\/li>\n<li>Have achieved a cumulative grade point averages (GPA) greater than 3.5 out of 4.3 or 3.1 out of 4.0, or the equivalent, throughout all of your university studies (bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, doctoral).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Important<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>We recommend that you review the Graduate Scholarships Program and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) before you begin preparing your application.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/00_CRIR-Graduate-Scholarships-Program-2026_ACC_F_PA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download the program<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Have your application reviewed before submitting it to CRIR:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> We recommend that you have <\/span><b>your research proposal and resume<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> reviewed by your principal supervisor. Student support services are also available at universities to assist with scholarship applications: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/esp.umontreal.ca\/english\/scholarships-and-funding\/scholarship-clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">University of Montreal (student support)<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/esp.umontreal.ca\/english\/scholarships-and-funding\/preparing-your-scholarship-application\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">University of Montreal (preparation guide)<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/bourses.uqam.ca\/obtenir-du-soutien\/conseils-ressources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UQAM (student support)<\/span><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/skillsets\/offerings\/would-you-fund-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">McGill University (student support)<\/span><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Evaluation grid<\/strong>: take note of the <a href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2026-Evaluation-criteria_CRIR-Graduate-Scholarships_F-1.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">evaluation grid<\/a>, <strong>before and after<\/strong> preparing your application.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Application form<\/strong>: Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*), and some items are \u201coptional\u201d or \u201cif applicable.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Guidelines for naming your documents<\/strong>: Last name, First name, Level of study, Type of document (e.g., project, transcripts, resume).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Save and continue later<\/strong>: The information you enter can be saved at any time. Simply use the \u201cSave and continue later\u201d button at the bottom of the page. You can return to the form at a later time. You will receive a link via email.
