Also, researchers, clinicians and students demonstrated their creativity during short &#8220;Pecha Kucha&#8221; or chats. In addition, 70 students, clinicians and researchers presented a poster during the virtual poster session of the<strong> &#8220;<em>Carrefour des connaissances en d\u00e9ficience motrice, sensorielle et du langage<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong>, held in collaboration with the <em>Institut universitaire sur la r\u00e9adaptation en d\u00e9ficience physique de Montr\u00e9al<\/em> of the <em>CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l&#8217;\u00cele-de-Montr\u00e9al<\/em> and the CRIR&#8217;s Student Committee, during the first day of the congress. These presentations illustrated the richness of rehabilitation research at CRIR.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/event.fourwaves.com\/congrescrir2021\/pages\/1cc5b511-d44f-4e49-a099-823a477ec6ff\">Distinguished speakers<\/a> also punctuated the days of the congress. <strong>Jo\u00eblle Pineau<\/strong>, from McGill University, shared with us the latest developments in artificial intelligence. <strong>Michel Giroux<\/strong> explained how institutional feasibility (or \u201cconvenance\u201d) has taken shape in Quebec, thanks to the work of CRIR&#8217;s REB. <strong>Robert Teasell<\/strong>, Western University, discussed the use of evidence for post-stroke interventions. <strong>Mahadeo Sukhai<\/strong>, from Queens University, described the work of the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) IDEA team on accessibility. We were also pleased to have <strong>Bean Gill<\/strong> speak at a public lecture. Bean shared her experiences following a spinal cord injury and how, through her resilience and determination, she founded the ReYu Paralysis Recovery Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Also in virtual mode, participants were able to attend a <a href=\"https:\/\/event.fourwaves.com\/congrescrir2021\/pages\/543293c8-73e3-4d9b-8c6b-5411e779b652\">panel discussion<\/a> on recognizing the value of professional skills and a <a href=\"https:\/\/event.fourwaves.com\/congrescrir2021\/pages\/cebd6915-7472-4332-88eb-01b194ffa85d\">networking event<\/a>. The <strong>Lunchtime Gala<\/strong> featured a performance by the <a href=\"https:\/\/theatreaphasique.org\/\">Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Aphasique<\/a>, followed by the presentation of the <strong>FRQS and CRIR awards<\/strong> for the best student oral and poster presentations, as well as two audience &#8220;Coup de c\u0153ur &#8221; awards for the Pecha Kucha and &#8220;My research in 180 seconds&#8221; presentations. The <a href=\"https:\/\/iurdpm.ca\/fr\/carrefour-des-connaissances-2021\"><em>Carrefour des connaissances<\/em><\/a> also awarded &#8220;Coup de c\u0153ur&#8221; prizes to the three best posters of the virtual poster session. The gala also included the presentation of the new Eva Kehayia for a early career researcher Award (<a href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/member\/stefano-rezzonico-ph-d\/\">Stefano Rezzonico<\/a>) and the Bonnie Swaine Clinician-Intervenor Award (<a href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/member\/frederic-loiselle-m-sc\/\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Loiselle<\/a>). <strong>Congratulations to all the recipients!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/sharing-our-knowledge\/events\/crir-2021-scientific-congress\/\">CRIR&#8217;s 20th anniversary Congress<\/a> was a great opportunity to get together and showcase rehabilitation research.
