Outstanding candidates whose work involves one or more of these areas of focus, and who can drive the research and education priorities of the Departments of Physical Therapy, Movement, and Rehabilitation Science (Bouv\u00e9) and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (COE) will be strongly considered<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4>Responsibilities<\/h4>\n<div>Responsibilities will include:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses,<\/li>\n<li>Conducting an independent and externally funded research program,<\/li>\n<li>Participating in departmental, college, and university service, as well as supervising undergraduates, M.S. and Ph.D. students, and postdocs in their area of research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualified candidates must demonstrate expertise in working with diverse student populations and\/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environment.<\/p>\n<h4>Qualifications<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD \/ M.D. degree in neuroscience, engineering, medicine, or related field is required by the appointment start date.<\/li>\n<li>Excellence in being able to work collaboratively with individuals across diverse training backgrounds (clinicians, engineers, neuroscientists, psychologists, etc.) and strong written and verbal communication skills is required.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to integrate multiple fields for impact on public health is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Preferred Qualifications<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Postdoctoral experience in neuroscience, engineering, or a related field, including experience in brain stimulation, human movement measurement and analysis, signal processing, and computational modeling is strongly preferred, but not required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with NIH and NSF grant applications is preferred, but not required.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching excellence or a demonstrated commitment to teaching courses in the above areas is preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>APPLICATION SUBMISSION<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Job no:\u00a0<span class=\"job-externalJobNo\">508305<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Position Type:\u00a0<span class=\"work-type faculty-full-time-tenuretenure-track\">Faculty Full-time (Tenure\/Tenure Track)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Categories:\u00a0<span class=\"categories\">Bouve College of Health Sciences<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Job details and application form <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.hrm.northeastern.edu\/en-us\/job\/508305\/assistantassociate-professor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Informal inquiries can be addressed to: <strong>Dr.<span class=\"x_x_Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Gene Tunik<\/strong> at<span class=\"\" style=\"color: #485157;
