{"id":15755,"date":"2022-05-02T15:08:47","date_gmt":"2022-05-02T19:08:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nomination-au-crir-thomas-gulian-ph-d-courtier-en-innovation-sociale\/"},"modified":"2022-05-02T21:27:14","modified_gmt":"2022-05-03T01:27:14","slug":"nomination-au-crir-thomas-gulian-ph-d-courtier-en-innovation-sociale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/nomination-au-crir-thomas-gulian-ph-d-courtier-en-innovation-sociale\/","title":{"rendered":"Appointment to CRIR: Thomas Gulian Ph.D. Social Innovation Broker"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>New!<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Social Innovation Broker Service<\/strong> to strengthen services at CRIR<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR) is pleased to announce the creation of a <strong>new &#8220;Social Innovation Broker&#8221;<\/strong> service, a joint initiative of the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al and its affiliated institutes, centers and schools, including CRIR, in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axelys.ca\/en\/\">Axelys<\/a>, the Quebec public research promotion company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Welcome to CRIR Thomas!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Gulian<\/strong> holds a Ph.D. from the University of Montreal (political science, 2010). He worked for more than 12 years at a college centre for social innovation at the <em>Coll\u00e8ge de Maisonneuve<\/em> (<em>Institut de recherche sur l&#8217;int\u00e9gration professionnelle des immigrants<\/em>, IRIPI). He was a researcher and director. He has developed and conducted action research and social innovation projects in partnership with many organizations (businesses, community organizations, public and parapublic organizations).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong><em>What is the commercialization of research in the context of CRIR&#8217;s activities?<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>It is the mobilization and application of the results of research conducted at CRIR in order to have a positive impact on the health of populations and society more generally. In the context of CRIR, particular attention will be paid to the mobilization and application of research results leading to social and techno-social innovations. This refers to any new approach, intervention, cutting-edge practice or technology aimed at having positive impacts on the sensory, motor and cognitive functions and activities of people with physical disabilities and on their participation and social inclusion.
