A Look at the Contribution of Rehabilitation Engineering<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

On October 21, 2024, the team at CRIR\u2013Montreal University Institute for Rehabilitation in Physical Disabilities (IURDPM) was pleased to welcome Professors Crist\u00f3bal Ochoa Luna<\/a> and Jorge Alberto P\u00e9rez Ladr\u00f3n de Guevara<\/a> from the School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey (Mexico)<\/a>, as part of a scientific networking event and a tour of the laboratories.<\/span><\/p>\n

This meeting provided an opportunity to foster discussions on the role of engineering in rehabilitation and to explore potential avenues for international collaboration. On this occasion, Professor Guillaume Durandau<\/a> (CRIR-HJR) also presented his laboratory\u2019s research agenda in neuromechanics and robotic control, highlighting the complementary expertise of the teams.<\/span><\/div>\n

CRIR was represented by: Philippe Archambault<\/a> (CRIR Scientific Co-Director), Ateayeh Bayat<\/strong> (Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of F\u00e9lix Ch\u00e9nier<\/a>, CRIR-IURDPM Researcher), Marika Demers<\/a> (CRIR-IURDPM Researcher), Vincent L\u00e9tourneau-Desjardins<\/strong> (IURDPM Research Associate), Johanne Higgins<\/a> (CRIR-IURDPM researcher), Kaitlyn Weare<\/strong> (IURDPM clinical research coordinator), and Claudia Bojanowski<\/strong> (CRIR Coordinator \u2013 Partnerships and Knowledge Mobilization).<\/span><\/div>\n
