PRESS RELEASE –\u00a0On April 27, the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital (CISSS de Laval)<\/strong> proudly hosted its Research Day<\/strong> as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR). The event highlighted the strength of collaboration among clinical staff, researchers, students, and partners.<\/p>\n

Attendees had the opportunity to explore a rich program featuring presentations of 10 student-led projects from the Feil & Oberfeld Research Centre (JRH-CRIR)<\/strong>, alongside a series of scientific posters showcasing ongoing research initiatives<\/strong>. Participants also discovered CRIR\u2019s interactive travelling exhibition,\u00a0\u201cTogether for an Inclusive Future\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, and toured the hospital\u2019s research laboratories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A key highlight of the day was a roundtable discussion on \u201cPromoting Collaboration Between Clinicians and Researchers,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Moderated by Marc Roig<\/a>, Professor at McGill University\u2019s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and Co-Director of the research centre at JRH., the Panel brought together Nathalie Medlej<\/strong> (Speech-Language Pathologist and Clinical Coordinator for the Programme Trauma-sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s Program), Genevi\u00e8ve Nadon<\/a> (Professional Advisor for Pediatric Services of DI-TSA-DP), Kimberley Singerman<\/a> (Head of the AVC\/Neuro\/SINT Program), and Adele Vizcaino<\/a> (Head of Sant\u00e9 Physique Program).<\/p>\n

These speakers shared valuable perspectives on strengthening ties between clinical practice and research.<\/strong> The discussion underscored the importance of fostering meaningful connections between clinical and research environments. Panelists emphasized the need for researchers to better understand clinical realities through direct engagement with care teams and the development of collaborative, co-creation opportunities. These approaches will help ensure that future research initiatives are closely aligned with the needs of clinical settings.<\/p>\n

The event welcomed 120 participants, including managers, clinicians, students, and researchers<\/strong>. Building on this success, the Feil & Oberfeld Research Centre (JRH-CRIR) looks forward to making this Research Day an ongoing tradition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
