CRIR\u2019s scientific co-director from 2010 to 2020. She has empowered numerous clinicians and healthcare professionals in the field of clinical research. She does this by supervising projects that emerge from relevant inquiries or by engaging in action-research embedded in innovative practices.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1753 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/BonnieSwaine.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 120px) 100vw, 120px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/BonnieSwaine.jpg 150w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/BonnieSwaine-19x24.jpg 19w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/BonnieSwaine-29x36.jpg 29w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/BonnieSwaine-39x48.jpg 39w\" alt=\"Dr Bonnie Swaine\" width=\"147\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Throughout her tenure at CRIR, she provided tangible solutions and collaborated with teams and clinicians and healthcare professionals, including staff and managers, to ensure that the research culture gained its true significance within our partner institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bonnie Swaine Recognition Awards | Partnership and Knowledge Mobilization<\/strong>\u00a0are awarded to clinical members of CRIR who have made outstanding contributions to the field to partnerships and knowledge mobilization as part of CRIR\u2019s mission over the past five years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>OBJECTIVES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To recognize the contribution of Clinician\/Healthcare Professionals in the development of partnerships and the realization of CRIR\u2019s research mission.<\/li>\n<li>To promote the outreach of partnership research and the participation of Clinician \/Healthcare Professionals in the mobilization of knowledge*.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>*Knowledge mobilization encompasses a continuum of sharing-dissemination-implementation (Nilsen, 2015). Knowledge mobilization involves capturing and exchanging the right information with the right people, in the right format and at the right time, in order to support the decision-making process of users, their families, caregivers and stakeholders.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Philippe Archambault, O.T. Ph.D.<\/em><br \/>\n<\/strong>Scientific Co-Director, CRIR \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Scientific Co-Director, CRIR<\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight-box\">\n<p>To find out more about this award and previous winners,<a href=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/en\/sharing-our-knowledge\/prix-de-reconnaissance-eva-kehayia-et-bonnie-swaine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0click on this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1101 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir-300x264.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"165\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir-300x264.jpg 300w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir-768x675.jpg 768w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir-24x21.jpg 24w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir-36x32.jpg 36w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir-48x42.jpg 48w, https:\/\/crir.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/logo_crir.jpg 878w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 165px) 100vw, 165px\" \/><\/h1>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1><strong><br \/>\nLaunch: 2026 Contest &#8211;<\/strong><strong>\u00a05th Edition<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Bonnie Swaine Recognition Awards <\/strong>aims to recognize up to four (4) Clinician\/Healthcare Professionals members, one (1) per CRIR site (IURDPM of the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l\u2019\u00cele-de-Montr\u00e9al, LLMRC of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal, JHR of the CISSS de Laval, INLB of the CISSS de la Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie-Centre).<\/p>\n<p>The CRIR Scientific Directorate will receive nominations for potential awardees from participating CRIR sites <strong>by September 21, 2026<\/strong>, and will officially announce the names of the winning clinical staff members at <strong>the <\/strong>CRIR <strong>Annual General Meeting (AGM)<\/strong>, which will be held in person at the Gingras-Lindsay Rehabilitation Institute, on <strong>Thursday, November 26, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The contributions of these recipients will be recognized throughout the year, both by CRIR\u2019s administrative headquarters and by their respective institutions, in a manner defined locally.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Contest procedure at your site<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each CRIR establishment that chooses to participate will set up a local committee to evaluate candidates from among its Clinician\/Healthcare Professional members, according to four evaluation criteria (see below).\u00a0<strong>It should be noted that each establishment is responsible for choosing how to select candidates (internal competition, selection by local committee members, etc.).<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight-box\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>We invite you to stay tuned to your establishment\u2019s internal communications to make sure you don\u2019t miss out on this contest.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The local committee will be led by the site director (CRIR site) and clinical research coordinators (CRCs). The CRIR\u2019s Scientific Directorate recommends that each local committee should have a diversified evaluation committee of 3 to 5 people, made up of researchers, managers and clinical staff.<\/p>\n<p>After deliberation, the person in charge of the local committee will submit the name of the person to be considered as the winner of his or her establishment to CRIR\u2019s administrative headquarters, as part of the Bonnie Swaine 2026 Recognition Awards competition. Please note that this person\u2019s name will remain embargoed until the CRIR AGM.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>To be eligible, a candidate must be a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>CRIR Clinician\/Healthcare Professionals member in GOOD STANDING standing at the time of application<\/strong><\/span>. Contact <strong>Sabine Leunens<\/strong>, CRIR administrative officer, at <a href=\"mailto:sleunens.crir@ssss.gouv.qc.ca\">sleunens.crir@ssss.gouv.qc.ca<\/a>\u00a0to make sure.<\/li>\n<li>CRIR Clinician\/Healthcare Professionals member are not authorized to nominate themselves.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Awards presented to winners by CRIR administrative headquarters<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A prize of $100<\/li>\n<li>Official certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>EVALUATION CRITERIA<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each local committee will evaluate nominations from among their Clinician\/Healthcare Professionals members according to <strong>four criteria<\/strong> that refer to the overall contributions made by the individual within the<strong> five last years preceding the competition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This person, through his or her efforts in connection with CRIR-related projects and knowledge mobilization, has produced or demonstrated:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><u>Impact on the practice environment:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0the candidate\u2019s contributions has had a\u00a0<strong>remarkable positive impact on the provision of care or services<\/strong>\u00a0in their practice environment, or adds value to the services received by users. The number of practitioners or users concerned and the characteristics of the impact should be taken into account (duration, scope, measurable effects if relevant, etc.), or the innovative quality of his contribution even if the scope is less extensive, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Impact on outreach:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0in particular, the candidate\u2019s contributions has led to\u00a0<strong>recognition beyond the walls of their home institution<\/strong>, thanks to their clinical or scientific activities, their presentations or their collaborations with partners in other institutions. The extent of the influence should be taken into account (within CRIR establishments, beyond CRIR, outside provincial or national borders).<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Impact on the training of the next generation:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0the candidate\u2019s contributions has had a\u00a0<strong>remarkable impact on the training<\/strong>\u00a0of students or trainees in their practice environment, the training of new employees, or the training of students in teaching institutions (e.g. when the person teaches at a university). The number of students\/employees supervised, the quality of the training offered and the impact on the apprentice experience should all be taken into account.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Demonstrated ability to work intersectorally:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0<strong>the candidate\u2019s contributions to their field is remarkable and recognized by several players from different backgrounds<\/strong>\u00a0(clinical, academic, community, user, etc.). The number of collaborators who recognize the person\u2019s contributions and the general appreciation of the person expressed by collaborators from different backgrounds should be taken into account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>CRIR\u2019s administrative headquarters will provide each local committee with an evaluation grid.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"highlight-box\">\n<h2><strong>Key information: Internal contest at CRIR establishments and announcement of winners<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Each site of CRIR is responsible for choosing how to select candidates (internal contest, selection by local committee members, etc.).
