Assistant or associate professor of occupational therapy

Université de Montréal, one of the most prestigious French-language medical schools in the world, is looking to strengthen its teaching and research team within the School of Rehabilitation. We invite candidates with a passion for teaching and research in the field of occupational therapy to apply for a position as assistant or associate professor.

Job description

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in occupational therapy and rehabilitation sciences.
  • Supervise students in their research, particularly at graduate level.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of occupational therapy programs and participate in research.
  • Conduct innovative research projects related to occupational therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with research centers affiliated with the Université de Montréal and raise the profile of the company within the scientific community.

What you need to succeed in this role

  • Hold a doctorate (Ph.D.) in occupational therapy, rehabilitation or a relevant field.
  • Independent research and postdoctoral experience.
  • Hold a permit to practice occupational therapy (or be eligible) issued by the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to teach and supervise students effectively.
  • Potential for developing national and international collaborations.
  • Know enough French or be determined to learn it thanks to our language support program.
