COnference desciption:

This confrence will help researchers, trainees, and practitioners strengthen their use of sex and gender-based analysis (SGBA) in health research. SGBA is critical for generating evidence that reflects diverse populations and informs equitable health policies, yet common pitfalls—such as conflating sex and gender or relying on binary measures—can undermine rigor and inclusivity. The session will explore strategies for avoiding these challenges, introduce tools for measuring sex, gender, and sexuality, and highlight community-informed approaches to ensure research is responsive and meaningful.
