Appointment to CRIR’s administrative headquarters: Guy Martial Takam Fongang | Senior Agent – Grants and Data Management
The CRIR Scientific Direction welcomes Guy Martial Takam Fongang to the position of Senior Agent – Grants and Data Management at CRIR’s administrative headquarters.
Guy Martial is responsible for the Fonds recherche Québec (FRQ) – Health Sector registry and the management of related data. He supports the distribution of indirect research costs (FIRs) among the various CRIR institutions and the production of indicators required for the center’s reporting. Finally, he coordinates CRIR’s funding programs and special awards and he updates the website, and produces CRIR’s newsletters.
Biography
Guy Martial holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Yaoundé II in Cameroon. After completing his PhD, he undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at the Université du Québec en Outaouais.
Prior to joining the CRIR, Guy Martial taught economics at the Bilingual High School of Belabo in Cameroon between 2016 and 2018, and taught agri-food policy issues and quantitative methods at the Université du Québec à Montréal between 2020 and 2025. His areas of expertise include econometric analysis, multicriteria analysis, cost–benefit analysis, and impact evaluation of innovations.
