Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity in program evaluation
Job description
The Quartier Innovant Living Lab (LL-QI), located in Montreal and led by Nathalie Bier and Adriana Lacerda, and the Life in Motion Living Lab, located in Poitiers, France, and led by Laurent Bosquet, invite applications for a postdoctoral fellowship to be carried out in Quebec and France within their research and social innovation infrastructures. These Living Labs value both experiential and scientific knowledge, and their research is conducted with and for the community.
For several years, these Living Labs have brought together a wide range of partners—including older adults, community and municipal organizations, design and social innovation specialists, and researchers—to co-develop innovative solutions. The LL-QI focuses on the social inclusion and participation of older adults in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood. The Life in Motion Living Lab, meanwhile, is dedicated to health promotion and disease prevention through healthy lifestyle habits.
The successful candidate will join these interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research teams and contribute to the following activities:
- conducting research activities and community engagement initiatives with partners from both Living Labs;
- designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for Living Lab programs;
- collecting and analyzing data generated through Living Lab activities;
- disseminating findings, facilitating knowledge transfer, and supporting knowledge mobilization efforts;
- fostering collaboration, mutual learning, and knowledge exchange between the two Living Labs.
Desired profile
- Completed PhD or near completion of a PhD in applied social sciences, gerontology, social innovation, health sciences, or a related field;
- Experience with, or strong interest in, Living Labs, participatory research, mixed-methods research, action research, and social impact evaluation;
- Strong methodological rigor, analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize and communicate findings to diverse audiences;
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English;
- Enthusiasm for undertaking a postdoctoral fellowship across two continents!
