Annie Rochette – 2025 Winner: “Occupational Therapist of the Year” Award from the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists – Quebec (CAOT-QC)
This award, presented by ACE-QC, recognizes the outstanding commitment of an occupational therapist to advancing the profession and the quality of care and services provided to the public. Annie Rochette embodies academic and professional excellence as a dedicated professor and occupational therapist in Quebec.

A researcher at CRIR-IURDPM since 2006, Annie Rochette’s research focuses her research on rehabilitation following a stroke both for the person who had the stroke and for their entourage with a view to implementing best practices.
She has influenced the evolution of occupational therapy education in Canada by contributing to the orientation of several programs and adapting teaching approaches to the needs of students. Her career is distinguished by prolific research—more than 50 articles in five years and over $5 million in funding—and collaborative leadership that has fostered the emergence of innovative projects in education and rehabilitation.
