Call for CRIR Projects: Knowledge Mobilization Grant | 2023

The Scientific Direction of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR) is is pleased to announce that it is launching a call for projects to support knowledge mobilization. This $25,000 envelope has been made possible through budget savings in 2022-2023.

 

By promoting the translation of research results into concrete positive impacts on the field, this grant is in line with Orientation 4 of CRIR’s 2022-2028 Development Plan –  “Advance Knowledge Mobilization Science and its Application”.

KNOWLEDGE MOBILIZATION GRANT | CRIR 2023

 

 

Instructions for application

Who can submit an application? Each project must be submitted by at least one regular researcher member (at least 50% of his/her research time at CRIR)
What projects/activities are eligible? Inclusion criteria:

Knowledge mobilization activities must:

  • Address a rehabilitation theme (Axis 1 or 2)
  • Result from a research project that has been completed or is in the process of being completed (the knowledge to be transferred must have been defined)

Examples of activities that can be funded: fact sheet, toolkit, guidebook, video capsules to raise awareness, website for the general public, etc.

Exclusions:

The grant cannot be used to conduct a research project, an intervention or a program evaluation; to cover operational costs; to pay for a researcher’s website; to cover conferences, events or publication fees; to directly support academic teaching.

Grant value Maximum $5,000 per selected project
Duration The project must be completed within the year following the awarding of the grant

Important dates

? Application submission: March 31st , 2023

? Announcement of results: mid-April 2023

Selection criteria
  • Alignment of the knowledge mobilization project with the needs of the target audience(s)
  • Strategies in place to support knowledge use
  • Feasibility of the project/activities

o   Realistic timeline for completion

o   Accuracy of budget estimate (e.g., budget based on a quote)

Section 2 – Identification of the research project from which the knowledge mobilization activity stems 
Section 3 – Proposal
Section 4 – Budget estimate
