Appointments at CRLLM: Lucas Gomes Souza, Clinical research coordinator and Naima Abbadi, Planning, programming and research officer – Support to CRIR researchers

The Direction of academic affairs and research ethics (DAARE) of the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the clinical research coordination team in rehabilitation:

 

Lucas Gomes Souza

Main mandates:

  • Clinical research coordinator
  • As a CRC, Lucas will take over research and knowledge mobilization activities at the Lethbridge (including PSOI), Richardson, JGH, Maimonides sites.

Profile:

Lucas is a physician trained in Brazil, with experience in general and family medicine. Since 2021, he has been living in Quebec where he recently obtained his Master’s degree in Public Health at Université Laval. He is delighted to join our team and hope that his knowledge can contribute to the success of projects.

Naima Abbadi

Main mandates:

  • Planning, programming and research officer – Support to CRIR researchers
  • As an APPR, Naima will provide support to CRIR researchers affiliated with the CIUSSS West-Central, for example: project development, grant submission, project implementation and participant recruitment, or scientific communications. She will also support us in managing the human and financial resources of our researchers.

ProfilE:

Naima has worked in genetic research and as a program manager at McGill University and RI- MUHC. She also acted as a bio-industry advisor at Investissement Québec and as a therapeutic innovation advisor at NRC. She joined the public health pandemic management team in 2021. Naima is interested in new technologies including AI and their impacts on health, economic and social development.
