Dana Anaby (Associate Professor at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University) and her research team at the ASPIRE Lab located at the Lethbridge-Layton-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre study the effect of leisure community-based participation on the motor and mental health of youth with physical disabilities. She is currently looking for a part-time bilingual research assistant to join her team.

What will this job involve?
– Overseeing and coordinating a multisite study in Quebec
– Working collaboratively with the Student Research assistant in Quebec and the coordinator in Ontario
– Completing ethics renewals using Nagano and McGill IRB via ERAP
– Building relationships and communicating with study sites
– Applying recruitment strategies across sites
– Managing clinician teams and coordinating trainings
– Collecting study data on REDCap (with Student Research Assistant)
– Organizing and validating data in Excel, creating charts and tables
– Managing study budget
What are the job requirements?
1. Interest/experience in research and study coordination
2. Fluency in English and French is required
3. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
4. Knowledge in Word, Excel/SPSS/R, Reference Manager (preference for experience with EndNote)
5. Knowledge of the REDCap data-collection software
6. Academic writing and editing skills
7. Experience working with youth with disability is preferable
8. Individual with a master’s degree, a graduate student or a clinician (in the field of Rehabilitation/Health Sciences/Social Work/Education/Psychology or similar preferred)

Working conditions
– The individual will work around 10 hours/week at $30.70 per hour.
