Job description


AlterGo is looking for a consultation and mobilization advisor with excellent project management, analytical and writing skills. As a consultant, under the supervision of the Executive Director, you will be responsible for a collaborative process, the Collectif Accessibilité Universelle (A.U.), a collaborative project that brings together organizations to promote universal accessibility throughout Greater Montreal. This involves planning, monitoring and evaluating the tasks to be carried out by the organization’s employees and by external partners such as project members. You will also have to mobilize and maintain a good relationship with the various people associated with the project and with the members of AlterGo. In addition, you will be responsible for organizing and facilitating meetings and consultations with members of the collective and members of AlterGo.

Main responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with other cross-sectoral actors to develop innovative and creative solutions to emerging challenges related to accessibility;
  • Support the rest of the organization in carrying out various mandates when they require expertise in consultation and mobilization;
  • Work jointly with AlterGo’s member organizations and partners;
  • Collaborate in the management of the corporate image and the development of AlterGo’s influence;
  • Represent the organization at various events and visibility activities

Profile required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or other relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken French;
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite tools.

Job information

  • Schedule: Full time, permanent
  • Salary: Varies between $19.88 and $27.37 per hour
  • Start date: Between May 16 and 23, 2022
  • Geographic location: Accessible offices, located in the South West of Montreal. Near Lionel-Groulx (orange and green lines) and Georges-Vanier (orange line) metro stations, parking available.
