Clinical Research Coordinator (PRO)

Job brief

Under the authority of the site manager at CRIR/HJR – CISSS de Laval, in direct collaboration with CRIR’s scientific directors, the clinical research coordinator establishes links between clinicians and researchers and fosters the development of a research culture within the organization.

Mandate

The candidate will carry out this mandate by performing the following duties:

  • Coordinates and stimulates clinical research at CRIR, Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital site;
  • Acts as an intermediary between clinicians and researchers;
  • Is on the lookout for research needs arising from issues related to the clinical profile of the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital’s clientele;
  • Promotes research-clinical linkages;
  • Assists clinicians in planning research projects to resolve issues raised at the clinical level, preparing grant applications, carrying out their projects, and presenting their results;
  • Supports the implementation of various clinical research projects;
  • Facilitates the dissemination of research results;
  • Coordinates the evaluation and acceptance in terms of institutional suitability of proposed research projects and the follow-up of projects
  • Supports clinicians in submitting grant applications and results.

The CRIR-HJR research site is recognized worldwide. Associated with McGill University in the field of rehabilitation research, it brings together 22 researchers, 35 graduate students, 12 state-of-the-art laboratories on site and a team of 4 research engineers in addition to clinical researchers.

Requirements

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in an academic discipline, preferably rehabilitation or other health science disciplines;
  • A master’s degree in the field of health sciences (an asset);
  • Clinical practice experience;
  • Rehabilitation experience;
  • Ability to synthesize developed;
  • Good knowledge of the needs and problems of rehabilitation clients;
  • Good knowledge of the services offered to rehabilitation clients in the health network;
  • Ability to establish partnerships;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Have demonstrated involvement in different committees or working groups.
