Planning, programming or research officer

Job brief

Under the responsibility of the head of the department, the planning, programming, and research officer conducts projects related to the dimensions of the IURDPM’s university mission. More specifically, this person participates in the coordination and implementation of a ministerial mandate concerning the measure of the Government Action Plan for Caregivers that concerns persons living with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder or physical disability. This mandate, carried out in partnership with two other Québec institutions, includes literature reviews, the identification of promising practices and the implementation of demonstration projects.

Main tasks

  • Participate in the coordination of the project using tools such as charters and work plans to ensure timeliness are met.
  • Take part in methodological alignments and carry out various tasks related to the three main components of the project, namely literature reviews, surveys of Quebec regions and the development of demonstrator projects.
  • Contribute to the clarification of the various project deliverables and ensure their production.
  • Ensure canvassing and coordinating the various actors of the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal and the partners involved in the project.
  • Organize, co-facilitate and take care of the logistical aspects of certain meetings.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the project deliverables dissemination plan.
  • Maintain a dashboard and ensure accountability through various balance sheets and reports.
  • Perform any other task requested by the immediate superior.

Required profile

Academic

  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline of health and social services, social science or other relevant discipline.
  • 2nd cycle degree in research, project management, program evaluation or other relevant discipline.

Experience and knowledge required

  • At least two years’ professional experience in the field of research, including systematic literature review.
  • Knowledge of the field of rehabilitation in physical disability or caregiving.
  • Experience in project coordination and collaboration management.
  • Experience in knowledge transfer, valorization and mobilization.

Languages and software

  • Excellent command of oral and written French, ability to read texts in English. Ability to express oneself and write in English an asset.
  • Mastery of the Windows environment, office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
