Job description
The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at McGill University, in collaboration with Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a clinical research project. This position is open to PhD holders in Rehabilitation Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Medicine, or other allied health fields, Biostatistics, and/or Epidemiology.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the psychometric properties of a new healthcare outcome measure.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods for data evaluation and analysis.
- Knowledge translation and patient-oriented research in the field of pediatric rare musculoskeletal diseases.
- Collaborate with a dynamic research team at Shriners Hospital for Children, a leading center for pediatric musculoskeletal conditions.
Profile sought
- PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Medicine, Biostatistics, or Epidemiology (degree obtained after 2020, no more than 5 years of experience at the time of hiring).
- Experience in clinical research, preferably in musculoskeletal or pediatric fields.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative methods, with a strong ability to translate research findings into practical applications for patient care.
- French language skills are an asset.
Conditions
- Annual salary of $48,000 CAD, renewable for up to 3 years depending on funding and productivity.
- Position based in Montreal, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at McGill University and Shriners Hospital for Children.
- Expected start date: Within the next few months.
