Research assistant (Position has been filled)
Dana Anaby (Associate Professor at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University) and her research team at the ASPIRE Lab located at the Lethbridge-Layton-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre study the effect of leisure participation and the environment on the well-being of youth with physical disabilities. She is currently looking for a part-time bilingual research assistant to join her team.
Job description
- Coordinating a study in Quebec
- Designing surveys and collecting data on REDCap
- Organizing and coding data in Excel, creating charts and tables
- Conducting basic analysis in SPSS or R
- Editing and formatting papers in English including tables, figures, references list (using EndNote), etc.
- Searching academic literature via Databases such as: MedLine, Psychinfo etc.
- Translating abstracts and other documents in English/French, completing forms in French
- Assisting in ethics renewals and grant submissions
- Updating ASPIRE Lab’s social platforms (website, Twitter)
PROFILE SOUGHT
- Interest/experience in research and study coordination
- Fluent in English and French
- Communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge in Word, Excel/SPSS/R, Reference Manager (preference for experience with EndNote)
- Knowledge of REDCap is an asset
- Writing and editing skills in English
- Has experience working with youth is preferred
- Individual with Master’s degree, a graduate student or a clinician (in the field of Rehabilitation) preferred
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- The individual will work around 20 hours/week at $25 per hour (24% fringe benefits).
- Job start date: Immediately
