Research assistant

Job description

The selected candidate will support the research program of Pr. Quan Nha Hong, researcher at the CRIR-Rehabilitation Institutes Gingras-Lindsay de Montréal. The projects aim to better understand the facilitators and obstacles of teleworking among people with disabilities as well as to study interventions to promote the integration, retention and return to work.

Main responsibilities

  • Project coordination.
  • Participate in systematic reviews.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare applications for research ethics approvals.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings with partners and researchers.
  • Contribute to writing manuscripts, reports, and conference abstracts.
  • Help prepare funding applications for grants.
  • Perform various administrative tasks (e.g., compensation of research participants).
  • Perform other research tasks as needed.

Profile required

  • Hold a university degree in health sciences or the equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English and in French.
  • Very good scientific writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment, office software (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Teams) and reference management software (Endnote).
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills, rigor and flexibility.
  • Asset: experience in qualitative research.

  • Workplace: Institut universitaire sur la réadaptation en déficience physique de Montréal Lindsay Pavilion Address : 6363 Hudson, Montréal (Québec) H3S 1M9
  • Status : Part-time temporary 14 to 21 hours/week (flexible schedule) 12-month contract (with the possibility of extension) Salary.
  • Salary : According to the current rates of the establishment; to be determined by the candidate’s experience and level of education.
