Graduate Student or Postdoctoral Fellow for the Evaluation of a Motorized Hand Exoskeleton

Job Description

We are seeking a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow to evaluate the usability, acceptability, and effectiveness of a new motorized hand exoskeleton. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to the final development phases of this innovative technology designed for people with sensorimotor impairments in a neurorehabilitation context.

Main Tasks

  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of new rehabilitation technologies and practices.
  • Participate in therapeutic interventions for hand rehabilitation, such as constraint-induced movement therapy or mirror therapy.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct literature reviews, perform statistical analyses, and write reports or scientific articles.

Required Profile

  • Hold a Master’s degree in a field related to physical rehabilitation (e.g., occupational therapy, physiotherapy), physical activity, or kinesiology, and possess licensure from a recognized professional regulatory body.
  • Exhibit a strong interest in the development and evaluation of new rehabilitation technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong reading, oral communication, and writing skills in both French and English.
  • Have clinical or research experience with individuals living with sensorimotor impairments and functional disabilities, and/or with healthcare professionals.
