It is with pride and gratitude that we concluded our exhibition, “Together for an Inclusive Future” at the 42nd edition of the Défi sportif AlterGO, held from April 28 to May 2, 2025, at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex in Montreal.

The AlterGO Sports Challenge brought together nearly 6,000 athletes with functional limitations, thrilling Montreal and the South Shore during Canada’s largest multisport event. These athletes, who came from all over the world with their coaches and families, competed in 10 impressive disciplines.

The exhibition “Together for an Inclusive Future” allowed nearly 2,000 people to see how the CRIR’s research findings on inclusive environments are illustrated and popularized in an interactive and fun way! Eighteen mediators and 30 facilitators (17 research members and 22 CRIR students), as well as three sign language interpreters, guided visitors with enthusiasm and accessibility through fascinating topics related to our research themes to create “Together for an Inclusive Future.”

Sincere thanks to everyone who was involved in any way and who helped us open up dialogue between the scientific community involved in rehabilitation research and the general public!

The exhibition “Together for an Inclusive Future” was produced by CRIR and its partners to mark its 25th Anniversary.

The goal of this exhibition is to support a dialogue between the scientific community of rehabilitation researchers and the general public about the importance of getting involved to make environments more inclusive.

Inclusive environments can reduce situations of disability experienced by the diverse  group of people with disabilities who make up our society.

This exhibition will travel to various events within Greater Montreal over the coming years to reach the general public.
