Overview of the position
We are currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Department Head at the Institut universitaire sur la réadaptation en déficience physique de Montréal (IURDPM).
Reporting to the Coordinator – Research, Development and Knowledge Transfer of the Direction de l’enseignement universitaire et de la recherche (DEUR), you will be responsible for planning and supervising the realization of the work that will allow us to respond to the university’s mission, in collaboration with the scientific and clinical directions of the establishment, in compliance with the designation criteria as well as with the obligations arising from the mandates that will be granted to you.
Profile required
- Have a graduate degree in a job-related discipline.
- Have significant professional experience in a management position or in team coordination.
- Have a very good knowledge of the academic environment and more specifically a good understanding of the perspectives and issues associated with the development of research and knowledge transfer projects in practice settings.
- Have a good knowledge of the obligations of a designated institution in both the health and social services sectors.
- Have a good understanding of the health and social services sector, its administration, its legal framework and the Human Resources issues within a large-scale establishment.
- A combination of experience and education deemed relevant could be considered.
