Rehabilitation Technologist

Job brief

The Clinical Intensification for People with Spinal Cord Injury (CIME) research program, funded by the LRH-Lindsay Prize Foundation, is taking place at the Gingras-Lindsay Rehabilitation Institute in Montreal, under the direction of researchers Dorothy Barthélemy and Diana Zidarov. We are looking for a Physiotherapy Technologist to support both the clinical and research activities of this program. The CIME Program will implement five innovative interventions integrated into the care trajectory of people with spinal cord injury and combining activity-based therapy and neuromodulation in order to intensify and personalize the current service offer at the Spinal Cord Injury Program of the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’Ile-de-Montréal.

Tasks

  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary clinical team of the Spinal Cord Injury program as well as with the research team.
  • Conduct evaluative data collection and interventions related to pre-established research protocols.
  • Document interventions according to the record keeping required by the OPPQ.

Profile

  • Must hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in physiotherapy techniques from a school recognized by the competent ministry
  • Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec.
  • Experience in a clinical setting or with a rehabilitation clientele would be an asset.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written French and spoken English.
  • Have great professional interpersonal skills and a concern for a job well done (rigor).
  • Ability to work independently and have organizational and priority management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with members of a multidisciplinary clinical team, as well as with researchers and research students.
  • Possess a high capacity for learning and adaptability.
  • Respect confidentiality.
