Passion, sharing and inspiring encounters with the general public at the Défi sportif AlterGO 2026 !

For a second consecutive year, students, researchers, and partners from the CRIR had the great pleasure of taking part in the presentation of the exhibition “Together for an Inclusive Future” as part of the 43rd edition of the Défi sportif AlterGo 2026.

📍 From April 28 to 30, at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, nearly 5,000 people had the opportunity to discover our interactive exhibition, which encourages collective engagement while showcasing CRIR research findings on inclusive environments in a simplified, interactive, and engaging way!
These three exceptional days were marked by rich exchanges and engaging discussions on the connections between science and society, alongside young athletes, coaches, parents, as well as AlterGo and CRIR partners.

This public outreach experience was also an outstanding showcase for emerging talent and research.

The outreach team, composed of 20 researchers, students, and research support staff, along with 5 students from the facilitation team, led the exhibition space with enthusiasm, making it accessible, dynamic, and engaging, while highlighting key messages from rehabilitation research through the exhibition’s four towers:

🤲 Every Gesture Counts

🗣️Communication Pro

👣 Sens in Action

🎨 Arts and Rehabilitation

Medals and Media

During our presence at the event, our Co-Scientific Director, Claudine Auger, took part in the medal ceremonies and spoke with a journalist from AMI-tv about the importance of engaging with the public and working together to build increasingly inclusive environments, notably through major events such as the AlterGo Défi sportif.
