Save the Date : April 18, 2023 | Science POP – CRIR Internal Science Communication Competition

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal (CRIR) is pleased to have been selected to participate in the first edition of the provincial Science Communication Competiton Science POP!

The Science POP initiative aims to awaken scientific curiosity in the general population of Quebec and to encourage the training of the next generation of scientists, beyond the laboratory experience: to pass on knowledge; to promote research; to be an actor of change. 

Internal competitionsThe Science POP competition will tdevelop across the province of Quebec in the form of internal competitions, held between April 1 and 30, 2023 by institutions devoted to Health Sciences research and to training graduate. The finalists from the 15 participating institutions, from across Quebec, will then advance to the grand finals at the provincial level organized by the IRCM in Montreal in May 2023. 

 

CRIR Internal Science Communication Competition

Save the date: April 18, 2023 in Montreal 

CRIR students at the master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral levels are invited to submit a presentation for one or more science communication challenges created by Science POP. However, only one challenge will be evaluated for the competition. The winner of each of the CRIR internal competition challenges will automatically become a finalist in the Science POP provincial grand finale.  

Prizes will be offered at the CRIR internal competition.

The general public is invited to contribute its expertise to the competition as a member of a jury, and to attend the presentations to learn about health research and appreciate the benefits and spin-offs of scientific research.
