Falisha Karpati, PhD
Independent Inclusion Consultant based in Montreal
Falisha Karpati, PhD (she/her) is an independent Inclusion Consultant with a focus on academic and research organizations. Over the past five years, she has supported the acquisition of over $300 million in research funding through advising on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) action plans for grant proposals and government-funded research projects. She has served as a consultant for projects and teams funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, Canada Excellence Research Chairs, New Frontiers in Research Fund, CFI Innovation Fund, and more.
In addition to supporting the development and implementation of EDI action plans, Falisha’s work includes conducting surveys and focus groups to integrate community input in academic practice, as well as training to foster collective learning in the research community. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University and a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.

Improve your research projects and funding success!
In this 2-hour virtual workshop, you will gain practical tips and strategies for implementing equity-driven practice in your teams and projects. You will learn how to discuss these practices in your grant applications and avoid common pitfalls. The workshop will be interactive including a combination of speaker presentation, guided individual reflection, and small group discussion.
