Özlem Çavuş, B.A., M. Sc.
Doctoral student in architecture at Istanbul Technical University (Turkey).
Research assistant at the Laboratoire d’architecture, d’informatique et de robotique (LAIR) in the Faculté de l’aménagement at Université de Montréal.
- Her previous research focuses on digital design and fabrication, in particular folding mechanisms and machine learning models in architecture.
She collaborated with Andrei Nejur in this IURDPM-supported project, notably in the literature review, conceptual development and prototyping phases.
Andrei Nejur, Ph. D., arch.
Associate Professor at the School of Architecture of the Université de Montréal
Regular researcher at CRIR-IURDPM.
- Director of the LAIR laboratory (Laboratory of Architecture, Informatics and Robotics), he is recognized for his work in parametric design, 3D graphic statics and advanced manufacturing.
Summary of the event:
Discover an exploratory project that pushes the boundaries of rehabilitation with digital tools!
This conference presents a first foray into the use of parametric design and additive manufacturing (3D printing) to create customized orthotics.
The approach is still under development and aims to test the potential of these technologies in a rehabilitation context. The speakers are keen to establish links with clinicians, researchers and partners in order to reflect together on the next steps, including future funding applications.
A unique opportunity to discover cutting-edge methods and explore avenues of collaboration at the frontier of digital design and care.
