We are pleased to invite you to the 2024 Welcome Day and the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of CRIR students. This will be a great opportunity to meet other students and discover the many resources available to you at CRIR.

  •     09:00 – 09:05: Welcome speech by the student committee
  •     09:05 – 10:00: Presentation of CRIR by student committee members
  •     10:00 – 10:10: Presentation of Le Carrefour des savoirs
  •     10:10 – 10:20: Presentation of the Research Ethics Board (REB-RDP)
  •     10:35 – 11:10: Workshop #1 with Alain-Steve Comtois, Ph.D., Full Professor, Director of the Department of Physical Activities, UQÀM; CRIR-IURDPM Researcher
  •     11:10 – 11:40: Annual General Assembly of the CRIR student committee
  •     11:40 – 12:00: Closing remarks by CRIR scientific direction, Philippe Archambault, erg, Ph.D.
  •     12:00: End of CRIR Student Welcome Day

Key Moments of the Day:

  • Workshop “Interdisciplinary Collaborations: Key to Success in Rehabilitation” with Alain-Steve Comtois, PhD, CRIR-IURDM Researcher: This workshop will emphasize the critical role of interdisciplinary collaboration in achieving success in rehabilitation. Dr. Alain-Steve Comtois, with his extensive expertise in biomotor assessment of motor capacity, craniocerebral trauma and musculoskeletal injuries, he will guide discussions on how professionals from different disciplines can work together to enhance patient outcomes. Students will learn from real-world case studies, discuss best practices, and explore the challenges and benefits of interdisciplinary teamwork in rehabilitation.
  • Explore CRIR in Detail: Get familiar with the structure of the institution and learn everything you need to know about your rights, privileges, and responsibilities as a student.
  • Discover the Four Key Research Sites of CRIR: Dive into the innovative work carried out at CRLLM, HJR, INLB, and IURDPM.
  • Engage with Your Peers and the CRIR Team: Take advantage of enriching discussions with the student committee and CRIR members.
  • Make Your Voice Heard at the Annual General Meeting: Actively participate in discussions on the upcoming year’s projects and activities.
  • Discover ‘‘Le Carrefour des savoirs’’, a joint initiative of five Montreal research centers, including CRIR. This project aims to establish and sustain a training program in transferable skills, including workshops, internships, and mentoring, intended for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
