Statut: Temporary part-time position 10 to 15 hours/week (flexible schedule)
Duration of employment: 15-week contract (with  possibility of extension)

Job Description

A job as a research assistant to participate in a multi-center research project aimed at developing and pooling methods of analyzing electromyographic signals to identify muscle synergies from non-negative matrix factorization (FMNN) method. The main task of the chosen candidate will be to carry out a literature review on the analysis of functional tasks using the FMNN and to develop an analysis grid and document the methods described in the literature to identify muscle synergies by matrix factorization. She/He will work closely with researchers and engineers attached to the project.

Primary Responsibility

  • From a bibliographic bank, identify the results of research on motor performance. It will also be necessary to record the recording, analysis and matrix factorization parameters and set up a database of these results

Required profile

  • Hold a university degree in bio-medical engineering, engineering or other fields of data processing OR in rehabilitation or related field
  • Demonstrate an interest in neuro-rehabilitation and movement analysis
  • Have basic knowledge of signal analysis
  • Have relevant research experience
  • Be able to work in a team and meet deadlines

  • Hourly rate: between $ 20.98 and $ 24.24, depending on the level of study and experience
