CRIR’s Scientific Directorate is seeking applications from its Researchers members to fill the role of Head of the Thematic Unit 2 of Axis 2 “Participation, Social Inclusion and Rehabilitation Services“.

The thematic research unit is the basic structure of research activities that brings together researchers and stakeholders around a common research problem and aims, among other things, to integrate disciplines, members and sites.
Two research themes are present for each of the CRIR’s research axes. An axis leader is then chosen from among the leaders of the thematic units that make up each axis.

Responsibilities

More specifically, the head of a thematic research unit is responsible for the development and coordination of his or her unit.
In particular:
  • Support the development and evolution of the research of his/her thematic unit;
  • Ensure adequate representation of basic, clinical, epidemiological and evaluative research in his/her unit;
  • To provide the required scientific expertise;
  • Promote the scientific productivity of his/her unit;
  • Contribute to the drafting of the development plan and to the mid-term evaluation of the Centre;
  • Participate in the Research Orientation Committee (ROC; 4 to 6 meetings per year);
  • Participate in the Annual General Meeting, as well as in the CRIR’s regular Researchers’ Meeting.
The head of the thematic research unit can count on the support of a person dedicated to the coordination of the axes for the realization of his mandate.

Profile required

  • The head of the thematic unit must be a research member in good standing of CRIR;
  • Bilingualism is required;
  • A 3-year term (renewable).

  • Priority will be given to candidates holding a position at the Université de Montréal or the Université du Québec à Montréal, in order to balance the representation of universities in the axis team.
