Clinical Research Coordinator

Job brief

Under the authority of the site manager at the CRIR/JRH – CISSS Laval, in direct collaboration with the scientific directors of the CRIR, the clinical research coordinator establishes links between clinicians and researchers and promotes the development of a research culture within the organization.


The candidate will carry out this mandate by performing the following functions

  • Coordinates and stimulates clinical research at the CRIR, Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital site;
  • Acts as an intermediary between clinicians and researchers;
  • Is on the lookout for research needs arising from problems related to the clinical profile of the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital’s clientele;
  • Fosters research-clinical collaboration;
  • Assists clinicians in the planning of research projects in order to solve problems raised at the clinical level, in the preparation of grant applications, in the realization of their projects, and in the presentation of their results;
  • Supports the implementation of various clinical research projects;
  • Facilitates the dissemination of research results;
  • Coordinates the evaluation and acceptance in terms of institutional suitability of proposed research projects and the follow-up of projects;
  • Supports clinicians in the submission of grant applications and presentation of results.


  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an academic discipline, preferably in rehabilitation or other health science disciplines;
  • Master’s degree in the health sciences (an asset);
  • Clinical practice experience;
  • Experience in rehabilitation;
  • Experience in clinical practice; Experience in rehabilitation; Strong synthesis skills;
  • Good knowledge of the needs and problems of rehabilitation clients;
  • Good knowledge of the services offered to rehabilitation clients in the health care network;
  • Ability to establish partnerships;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrate involvement in various committees or work groups.
