Knowledge Transfer Planning, Programming and Research Officer|CRIR-IURDPM

Job description

Overall, this person is mandated to capture the innovations that result from IURDPM’s research activities, to promote them and to contribute to their dissemination or transfer to other environments. Specifically, he/she develops procedures to identify initiatives with transfer potential, participates in the prioritization of projects and proposes relevant activities based on transfer objectives, the needs of different audiences and opportunities. It supports the programming of scientific activities of the IURDPM, coordinates the creation of practice tools resulting from research projects and participates in the organization of thematic events. It provides consulting support to research teams in terms of integrated knowledge transfer. It contributes to mobilizing IURDPM researchers, their students, the clinical community and partners around collaborative projects. It contributes to the accountability of the university mission related to knowledge transfer.

Main tasks

IURDPM’S CT PROGRAMMING

  • Identifies needs, target audiences, analyzes opportunities and challenges in knowledge transfer at IURDPM.
  • Develops and implements the programming of activities aimed at transferring the knowledge resulting from the work of researchers, their students and IURDPM partners. Coordinates this programming with that of the CRIR.

RAYONNEMENT

  • Participates in the outreach of research teams’ achievements at the local, national and international levels.
  • Supports research teams in their initiatives to inform decision makers and influence public policy.
  • Helps structure the process of processing ministerial mandates and supports some projects.

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PRODUCTS

  • Implements strategies to capture and document initiatives from IURDPM researchers and their partners that show high potential for transferability to other settings.
  • Participates in the prioritization of initiatives that will be supported for the production of knowledge transfer tools.
  • Coordinates projects aimed at developing knowledge transfer products such as intervention manuals, evaluation tools or training.

EVENTS AND NETWORKING

  • Contributes to the creation of networking opportunities between researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders.
  • Supports the organization of scientific events for various audiences, including clinical stakeholders, policy makers and the general public.

SUPPORT TO RESEARCH TEAMS

  • Participates in the development of standard processes and templates to equip research teams for collaborative research and integrated knowledge transfer.
  • Provides advisory support to research teams when they prepare or implement a transfer plan related to a specific research project.

MONITORING AND REPORTING

  • Identifies targets, indicators and milestones for monitoring the IURDPM’s knowledge transfer programming.
  • Participates in the reporting of the knowledge transfer dimension, including the preparation of the IURDPM annual review.

Profile required

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Graduate degree in an appropriate discipline such as health or social sciences.
  • Continuing education or academic training in knowledge transfer required.

SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least two years’ experience in knowledge transfer, knowledge translation and knowledge mobilization in a collaborative context, including project management for the development of research-based practice tools.
  • Experience in training development.
  • Knowledge of integrated knowledge transfer models or methods.
  • Experience in developing dissemination plans, training specifications, popularized texts or intervention tools.
  • Good knowledge of the field of social research.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation services an asset.

LANGUAGES AND SOFTWARE USED ON A REGULAR BASIS

  • Fluency in spoken and written French, functional communication in spoken and written English is a requirement (intermediate level).
  • Proficiency in Windows environment, office software (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Teams).

Work conditions

  • Hourly rate based on education and experience, plus benefits and insurance plan.

  • Work schedule : 5 days a week
