Job brief

The Person-Centred Health Informatics (PCHI) Laboratory at McGill University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position, under the supervision of Dr. Sara Ahmed. Research at the PCHI lab focuses on digital health and the use of data for rapid learning cycles and improved rehabilitation care. Ongoing studies explore topics such as clinical trials to evaluate digital health solutions to improve patient and health system outcomes, and the application of patient-reported outcomes to improve communication between patients and providers. The use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality tools is essential to the collection and analysis of data from the BRILLIANT database.

The postdoctoral fellow will be part of a unique team composed of the PCHI laboratory, the BRILLIANT laboratory and the various clinical teams in various regions of the Montreal metropolitan area. As a fellow, you will be responsible for analyzing data and communicating results to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for manipulating the data and processing it by artificial intelligence.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, or related field.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative research in the field of health sciences
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization using R or similar program.
  • Although not required, candidates with experience in artificial intelligence and virtual reality in the field of rehabilitation should emphasize these skills.
