Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and completion of projects related to the BRILLIANT project. In collaboration with other team members and stakeholders, the qualified person will perform a variety of tasks in accordance with the established methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the various IT projects in the field of healthcare, carried out individually by the research assistants, in order to create a coherent and complete project plan and to deliver the solutions within the decided deadlines.
  • Facilitate the identification, analysis, and validation of system information technology requirements while working closely with the project manager, research team, and project manager.
  • Develop, implement and support scientific analyses for the entire BRILLIANT project and sub-projects under the BRILLIANT umbrella.
  • Ensure that the project’s high-level system requirements are well documented in terms of functional specifications and system design, including but not limited to high-level use cases and mock-ups.
  • Ensure that deliverables comply with BRILLIANT requirements.
  • Ensuring data integrity across research sites
  • Document processes and procedures; Create and document the specifications required for the research project.
  • Identify and recommend ways to increase the efficiency and automation of business processes and their related activities.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and programmers throughout the development process.
  • Design custom reports to enable users to maximize the potential of the systems available to them as management and decision-making tools.
  • Identify project issues and risks and ensure they are resolved.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete tasks.

Education and Experience

  • University degree in a relevant field such as public health, computer science, information technology or health care, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in an IT project manager role; Experience in health care research is an asset.

Skills

  • Clinical and functional knowledge of clinical environments in general and rehabilitation in particular
  • Familiarity with the clinical application development process
  • PMP certification is a major asset
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence tools
  • Experience with data analysis and large databases (structured and unstructured)
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change management
  • Ability to understand and clarify business needs expressed by researchers and stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great leadership skills
  • Fluency in English and French (oral and written)
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Fosters a cooperative team environment
