Nomination: Marc Roig Pull, Ph.D., as Site Co-Director of CRIR-Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital (CRIR-JRH)

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Mr. Marc Roig Pull as the new Co-Director of CRIR-Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital (CRIR-JRH), effective October 1, 2024.

 

Marc Roig Pull is Associate Professor at McGill University’s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. He directs the MEmory and MOtor Rehabilitation LaboratorY (Memory Lab), where his research program focuses on brain plasticity related to memory and learning.

Marc develops interventions focused on users with stroke or Parkinson’s disease. Supported by provincial and federal agencies, he has supervised numerous students and published 71 articles in scientific journals, totaling 5,605 citations. Since 2019, he has presented 59 papers at national and international conferences.

 

 

 

Marc will be site co-director of the Feil Oberfeld Research Centre / Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal  (CRIR) at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital (JRH), along with Eva Kehayia, Associate Professor and Director of Research at McGill University’s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. Ms. Kehayia has been co-director of the CRIR-JRH site since 2022, in addition to directing the Language and Communication Laboratory and having been CRIR’s scientific co-director from 2000-2022.

Affiliated with McGill University, this center is recognized internationally for its innovative solutions in rehabilitation, notably through virtual reality. We are proud to count on the expertise and essential scientific leadership of these researchers, and wish them every success in their respective positions.

 

We would also like to extend our warmest thanks to Ms. Anouk Lamontagne for her invaluable contribution as CRIR-JRH site co-director since 2022. We are delighted that she will continue her research activities at the JRH. It was a real privilege to work with Anouk.
