Master’s Scholarship Offer
Description
Project title: Development and evaluation of algorithms to isolate cortical oscillations during vestibular stimulation. Research grant to carry out a master’s project whose objective is to build a “ghost head”, using a 3D printer. The phantom head will be used to test the effectiveness of algorithms in attenuating electrical artifacts caused by electrical stimulations applied to the surface of the head (i.e., electroencephalographic signals). The materials used to print the phantom head will make it possible to replicate the conductivity of the tissues of a human’s head. The successful candidate will complete a master’s degree under the supervision of Professor Martin Simoneau (Faculty of Medicine, Department of Kinesiology) and Professor Alexandre Campeau-Lecours (Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering). This master’s project will be carried out at Laval University in Quebec City.
