Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of research projects
  • Assist graduate students with their research projects (e.g., data collection)
  • Recruit participants for large-scale randomized controlled trials
  • Prepare and submit applications to research ethics boards
  • Assist the PI with grant submission tasks, curriculum update
  • Track the expenses of multiple research funds and process purchase orders
  • Conduct scientifically validated evaluations of physical and cognitive function in clinical populations (i.e., stroke, Parkinson’s Disease)
  • Opportunity for authorship on conference and journal publications and involvement in other scientific activities (e.g., journal clubs)

Qualifications:

  • Functional fluency in French (i.e., enough for basic conversations) is required
  • Availability to work occasional nights and weekends is required

Assets:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience working with older adults or clinical populations
  • Prior experience in clinical research, particularly in research ethics and recruitment
  • Experience in financial administration
  • Familiarity with the Nagano research ethics platform and/or McGill Marketplace
  • Experience in website design with WordPress

Hours: 25-30 hours/week that could be increased if needed.

Remuneration: In line with McGill payment scales and based on the experience and qualifications.
