Join our fantastic team of CRIR researcher-experts for an enriching round table where they will share their knowledge and research, addressing the clinical questions and issues gathered from clinicians. This activity aims to be a space for exchange and networking, where research advancements and clinical challenges will be at the heart of the discussions.
Target Audience
This event is primarily intended for CRIR clinician members, but all individuals interested in hearing impairments are welcome.

Associate Professor, School of Optometry – Université de Montréal, regular researcher at CRIR-INLB and CRIR-LLMRC. Dr. Wittich specializes in the rehabilitation of individuals with visual and auditory impairments. With a background in psychology, visual neuroscience, and audiology, he focuses on dual sensory loss and acquired deafblindness. His research encompasses sensory, medical, psychosocial aspects, and rehabilitation approaches. He is the inaugural chair of the Deafblind International Research Network and the first certified low vision therapist in Quebec.

Assistant Professor, School of Speech-Language Therapy and Audiology – Université de Montréal, regular researcher at CRIR-IURDPM. Dr. Duda conducts experimental and clinical partnership research to develop new methods for clinical use. She focuses on creating clinical diagnostic tools and assistive devices to improve auditory function and accessibility for individuals with hearing loss and cognitive impairments, as well as those experiencing deafblindness and functional auditory disorders such as tinnitus and hyperacusis.
Pr. Mickael Deroche, PhD
Assistant Professor, School of Speech-Language Therapy and Audiology – Concordia University
Regular researcher at CRIR-LLMRC
Associate Professor, Department of Psychology; Concordia University, regular researcher at CRIR-LLMRC. Dr. Deroche’s work focuses on understanding auditory processing for speech and music in both normally hearing individuals and cochlear implant users. His research contributes to technological innovations in implants and addresses the cognitive and socio-emotional challenges faced by individuals with hearing deficits.
