Project Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for part-time research professional to support the coordination of research projects. This person will have the opportunity to work on several projects of researchers Frédérique Poncet (School of physiotherapy and occupational therapy, U.McGill; School of optometry, U.Montreal) and Chantal Robillard (Department of sexology, UQAM; School of optometry, U.Montreal), both members of the Centre de recherche interdisciplinaire en réadaptation (CRIR), working closely with the Lethbridge-Layton-Mackay Rehabilitation Centre of the CIUSSS West-Centre Montreal. This person will have the opportunity to work on, to name a few :

  • Gusto Implementation: Food literacy in various settings (rehabilitation and community). Multiple ongoing projects.
  • Du diamant brut au diamant taillé : Intégration et adaptation des savoirs à la pratique clinique (Robillard&al.): Proposes a toolbox to ensure a reflection process in support of the integration of best practices by clinical rehabilitation teams at CIUSSS West-Centreal;
  • I.C.E. Research Project: Towards Inclusive, Culturally safe & Equitable rehabilitation services: Develops an action plan for the cultural safety of the continuum of care in physical rehabilitation to optimize the health of Inuit and Eeyou users;
  • And any other project to come.

Tasks and responsibilities

Under the co-supervision of the two researchers, this person will be responsible for supporting the coordination of research projects, including

  • Plan, coordinate and implement research activities.
  • Organize and manage administrative aspects: e.g., team meetings, logistics of meetings with partners, submission of expenses.
  • Organize and maintain relationships within the team and with partners.
  • Prepare documents for submissions to the ethics committee.
  • Participate in the analysis of qualitative or quantitative data.
  • Contribute to the writing of manuscripts or reports.
  • Supervise support staff.
  • Any other research or administrative tasks related to the projects.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum of a Masters’ degree (ongoing or close to graduation) related to the social sciences, humanities or health.
  • Practical experience in team coordination/management.
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite (power point, word, excel) and ability to learn new software and applications quickly.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English and. French.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative analysis and software is an asset.
  • Proficiency in software such as Sharepoint and reference management software (Endnote) is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of scientific and academic networks or the health and social services network is an asset.
  • Research experience in the field of physical rehabilitation is an asset.

Working conditions

  • Type of position: Contract, Part-time (minimum 21 hours/week)
  • Salary: According to experience and qualifications in accordance with the establishment’s salary scale
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Duration: 1 year, possibility to renew
  • Location: Hybrid: 7000 Sherbrooke West
